Brussels Airport (BRU) is Belgium’s main airport and, in terms of air traffic, the fourteenth busiest in Europe. Situated twelve kilometres from Brussels, to the north east of the Zaventem commune in Flemish Brabant, Brussels Airport serves more than 200 European destinations as well international destinations in Africa, America, Asia and the Middle East. With 10,600 parking spaces, Brussels Airport also has more than 30 restaurant areas and 40 shops. Brussels Airport (BRU) has one terminal, divided into two halls, A and B, which are connected by an underground walkway. Two of the runways are parallel and there are three runways in total. Brussels Airport (BRU) can handle up to 35 million passengers a year.
