Luxembourg-Findel Airport is the only airport in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It is the 25th busiest airport in the world and the 5th busiest in terms of European freight traffic. The runway at Luxembourg-Findel Airport is 4,000 metres long and the complex is 6km from Luxembourg City’s centre. Luxembourg-Findel Airport was inaugurated in 1946 and is continually increasing its number of flights, particularly for airlines that are based there. Luxembourg-Findel Airport has three terminals (Terminals A & B plus a business terminal) and can handle up to 3 million passengers per year as well as around 700,000 tons of freight.
