Situated in the Savoie department, in the centre of the Rhône-Alpes region, the Chambéry-Savoie Airport is a one of France’s busiest airport complexes, thanks to the large number of commercial flights operating during the winter ski season. In order to handle 1 million passengers a year, the large, single terminal building is spread across 4 600 m². Between its 120 m² departure lounge and its international arrivals hall, Chambéry-Savoie Airport can handle 1,300 passengers an hour. There are 40 coach parking spaces and 300 free car parking spaces, which are found opposite the entrance to the terminal building. Amenities inside the Chambéry-Savoie Airport include a Duty Free shop, a souvenir shop and a restaurant that is open at lunchtimes.
