The Quimper Cornouaille Airport is the 2nd busiest airport in Finistère, Brittany and ranks 40th amongst France’s most frequented airports. Formerly known as ‘Quimper-Pluguffan’, Quimper Cornouaille Airport is found 5.5km south west of Quimper in the Pluguffan commune. It has a 2,150m long by 45m wide runway that can handle low and high intensity traffic, continual landings as well as housing an approach ramp. Quimper Cornouaille Airport mainly operates flights across France and the rest of Europe. In 2014, Quimper Cornouaille Airport handled 100,000 passengers. The terminal building covers 3,000 square metres and includes numerous services. Two carparks are available and a drop-off point is found in front of the building. Passengers arriving at Quimper Cornouaille Airport can reach Quimper’s town centre in around 30 minutes, thanks to bus and taxi services. The Quimper Cornouaille terminal has a restaurant as well as three car hire agencies – Hertz, Avis and Europcar.
